Meet Lauren Wakefield

How did you hear about Faithfully Restored?

When we first moved to Franklin, I began praying for a ministry to get involved with that served women and ministered to those who are hurting. Throughout scripture, we see Jesus walking, loving, and partnering with those in seasons of both joy and sorrow. When I first heard about Faithfully Restored, I was so eager to be a part in whatever way I could. Getting to work for such a special organization is a dream and a yearlong answer to prayer.

What are you most excited about being part of the Faithfully Restored team?

I am so honored and excited for so many different reasons. Serving His people, in whatever season they are in, is the most fulfilling and special thing. I learn so much from others, from what they have seen, what they are going through, and how they cling to Jesus amidst it all. Sharing pain and hardships with others is often vulnerable and I am beyond honored to get to partner with others in the midst of it.

Tell us a little bit about your family and what you like to do in your free time.

I am obsessed with my family and always find myself talking about them- I am married to Mason and we have the sweetest baby girl- Evangeline. We spent the past three years doing mission work in various different countries before feeling the Lord call us to settle for a bit in Franklin, Tn. We both have a love for anything creative and anything outdoors. Other things I love to do in my free time including reading, writing, running and spend as much time with Evangeline as possible.

Favorite Bible verse and why?

It is so hard to choose a favorite bible verse, but one that I have always clung to throughout the years is Isaiah 41:10. It says, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand”. This verse is a representation of so many sides of our Father- as He is our comforter, our protector, our strength, our encourager, our defender, and our victorious sovereign King. Hallelujah!
