Meet Ginger Philpot
Tell us a little about yourself.
Originally from Atlanta, GA, I relocated to Nashville in 2016 to be closer to extended family. My professional background is rooted in geriatric healthcare and hospice care, where I’ve dedicated my career to supporting senior adults and their families. After the birth of my daughter in 2020, I stepped away from my professional role to embrace full-time motherhood. I currently live in Brentwood, TN with my husband, Ross, and our 5-year-old daughter, Harper. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, tackling DIY projects around the house and a new found love for gardening.
How did you first hear about Faithfully Restored?
I first heard about Faithfully Restored through a friend who had attended previous events and volunteered. Her experience inspired me, and I felt a strong calling from God to step out in faith and begin volunteering with local nonprofit ministries.
I started by helping with the prayer request package events, then continued with assembling Mother’s Day bags for moms at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. From the beginning, the mission of Faithfully Restored deeply resonated with me. Having experienced the loss of my mother during my senior year of high school, followed by the separate losses of my father and brother, I understood the deep need for comfort and hope during seasons of grief. I also endured five difficult years of infertility before the birth of my now healthy and happy 5-year-old daughter, who was born at just 26 weeks. The first time I walked into the Faithfully Restored office, I felt an immediate sense of joy and peace. I knew then that God had placed me here for a greater purpose.
What are you most excited about working for Faithfully Restored?
I'm most excited about being part of the Faithfully Restored team because of the opportunity to contribute to a mission that’s deeply rooted in hope, healing, and community. I admire how the organization walks alongside women during some of their most challenging moments, offering not just support, but true connection and restoration. Being a part of a team so passionate about making a meaningful impact is incredibly inspiring, and I look forward to using my skills to help further that mission of showing women Jesus is always with them.
What is one of your favorite Bible verses and why?
One of my favorite Bible verses is “Be still and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation; I will be honored throughout the world. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us: the God of Israel is our fortress.” (Psalm 46:10). It offers peace, comfort, and the reminder that we’re never alone, even in life’s hardest moments. It is a verse that gives permission to find comfort in the quiet and listen to God’s comfort and direction.
